What Philip learned from his "Large Bowl" series, he expanded upon with these three. Drawing inspiration from the traditional Korean ceramics he was surrounded with for five months while living in Gimhae , Korea as an Artist in Residence at the ClayArch Gimhae Museum. Philip again pushes the material's gravitational limits out horizontally then vertically creating three organically bulbous vessels. These three pieces invoke a suspended moment of time itself, capturing each coils movement as they form what became each vessel.
This piece measures approximately 19" tall, 14" wide and 14" deep.
